Abstract:In this paper,we analyze problems in conventional VSP calibration,and propose a new seismic calibration based on VSP data. The steps are as follows:①VSP and synchronous gamma-ray logging data acquisition; ②VSP data processing and quality control to insure the consistence between VSP corridor stack section and synthetic seismogram in the depth domain; ③Using VSP time-depth relationship corrects acoustic curves and improves synthetic seismogram; ④Absolute amplitude display calibration and cross-correlation parameter calculation to determine the calibration position and polarity; ⑤VSP corridor stack and corrected seismogram embedded at well locations in seismic sections. This approach is used in the exploration and development of South Sulige gas fields,and achieved satisfactory results.
